I have been having cramps and bloating and I just had my period about 2 weeks ago. I have been having a mild form of constipation and today I've been having the urge to pee a lot. Today when I wiped I noticed a light color of darkish-red that looks the same when I have started my period. Could I be pregnant?

Hello,

If you had unprotected intercourse when you ovulated, you could be pregnant.

Your symptoms could also be related to PMS and the onset of your period.

If you are concerned that you are pregnant, perform a EPT home test with your firt morning urine.

Often, a shift in hormones can also cause your period to be delayed by a few days.

Let me know if you have questions.

Reply to Deborah's Post: I've never had these symptoms this early before if it is for my period. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year now and we do not use protection. I'm estimating my next period to be around July 23. Could I be pregnant?

Hello Lucy,

It is doubtful that you are pregnant yet; however, you are at the end point of your cycle in which ovulation occurs now.

If you are trying to conceive, I would suggest goig to the pharmacy and purchasing an ovulation test kit to help you narrow down the window of opportunity.

Here is some info you may find helpful:
