STD Question....
Sent to Health Experts July 16 03:23 AM

Okay, I was really stupid and had unprotected sex last Friday. The last couple of days I have had vaginal discharge that is milky white and slimey. It's not thick, yellow, green, or smelly. I don't have any itching or burning when I urniate, but I do have some lower abdominal discomfort now and then. Also, I thought I had a yeast infection last Monday night and got a 3 day vaginal cream treament that was finished on Wednesday night. I'm curious to know what the deal is. I'm scared that I may have an STD or some other type of infection or could it be the result of the cream? Either way I plan to get checked out this Monday.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 29

Already Tried:
Over the counter yeast infection cream.

Reply to Family Physician's Post: Yes, but at the same time I'm not sure it was a yeast infection to begin with. Now, it doesn't itch or anything it's just sort of uncomfortable and then there's the continual milky white (slimey) discharge. Sorry, I know that's gross, but I wouldn't even be all that comfortable telling my own doctor that.
Thanks,
Molly

I understand that you may feel uncomfortable talking with your doctor about this - but it is important.

The fact that you still have a discharge suggests to me that you may indeed have an infection that isn't just a simple yeast infection, or you may have another type of infection (which may or may not be a STD)

Besides the possible STD related current problems of course are the possible exposure to other infections such as HIV and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C which would likely not cause any symptoms now - but you should probably get screened for these as well.
