Rash and Swollen Lymth Nodes

Sent to Health Experts August 21 2006 at 9:49 AM

I have a severe rash on the back of my neck, under my arm pits, on my hips and lower back. It seems to be inflammed by heat, is red, swollen, itchy, and flaky at times. I also have swollen lymth nodes on my neck near the rash. I saw an ENT last year that said the swollen lymths were probable caused by the rash. The dermatologist said the rash was ezema, but the rash has only gotten worse with topical treatments. I just recently had a live blood cell study done, which indicated low immune cell, excess yeast in the blood and large crystals that may suggest kidney stones which I have had in the past. Could the rash and swollen lymth nodes be related to an auto immune disorder? What type of doctor sould I seek a diagnosis from?

Sounds as though your having kidney problems and do indeed need to see a Kidney specialist as the complications you have mentioned are indicative to this disorder. They are also indicative of other disorders but I would suggest going to the kidney specialist to confirm or not the situation and go from there. Your blood work should have also pointed them to wards a more specific problem.

There are indeed Auto Immune conditions that produce your symptoms as well and you would need to see a Auto Immune Specialist that your Kidney Doctor could refer you to.

If I may further assist you please reply.

Reply to 4ren6's Post: Thank you for your speedy response. Can you please explain how the rash and lymph nodes are related to a kidney disorder? The live blood cell study was conducted by an Alternative Medicines Dr. who is a licensed Dr. in China. She is treating my yeast with Optimal Flora Plus and the crystals with Optimal Digestion Formula. I have also eliminated breads, yeast and sugar from my diet. I have been on this treatment for one week and there is no improvement in my rash or lymphs.

The type of testing that was done by this "doctor", and his "treatment" is not something that has been subjected to rigorous scientific testing.

I would suggest that you see another dermatologist if the rash has not responded to the various treatments you described. It might even be appropriate to have a skin biospy done as a last resort.
