I'm 47 - periods are irregular now with heavy bleeding and extremely painful. Only over the last couple of years have they become this way. Not only do I experience menstrual cramping but severe intestinal cramping as well as back pain. Lasts a couple of days or 3 and then for the next couple of days I'm extremely sore in the intestinal area as though I did 1000 situps a day. I've been to a gyno and he seems to skip over the pain part and mainly focuses on the irregular periods and the heavy bleeding. They've performed ultra sounds, & an ablation but nothing was found in the ultrasound and the ablation did not help with the bleeding. Any thoughts?
