lumbar pain yes but not as much as in the front region, as if you were to put you hands on your waist most pain where the fingers lay and then around slight pain in the thumb area on your waist. but very bad pain the size of a fist about 2 inches over from navel , center of waist on the left side. pain on right side just started and is mild about a week ago. i have no Xray or Ultrasound reports. doc put me on anitbiotics but there is no bacteria so i dont think it is a UTI.

Hello

There can be many causes of blood coming in urine

Cancer of the urinary tract (kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, urethra)

Infection in the urinary tract

Stones

Trauma

Well i would recommend an ultrasound (kidneys and urinary Bladder) to further evaluate the cause.

Hello

In the urinalysis test, the urine is examined for white and red blood cells and bacteria. Then the bacteria are grown in a culture and tested against different antibiotics to see which drug best destroys the bacteria. This last step is called a sensitivity test.

Some microbes, like Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, can be detected only with special bacterial cultures. A doctor suspects one of these infections when a person has symptoms of a UTI and pus in the urine, but a standard culture fails to grow any bacteria.

If you have pus cells in urine than this can be UTI.

Hello

Well apart from UTI other conditions should also be ruled out especially calculi in bladder , can cause bilateral hydronephrosis causing such pain.USG should be considered.
