Corneal Ulcers

Can i still get a corneal ulcer??
I was unaware of the dangers of sleeping with contacts ( corneal ulcers, abrasians etc.) and i did it quite often through my first batch of disposable contacts....now that i finished the batch, i havent worn the contacts in a few days, but my eyes feel fine and have shown none of the symptoms of corneal ulcer...my question is...even though it hasn't happened, and i will definately never sleep with contacts again, will I still be able to get this condition because of what I did then? Thanks so much
