I am a generally healthy 52 year old male who has not smoked for 15+ years. I have a pain in my right side love handle area that extends around to my back. It has been a dull sort of numb feeling for what seems like years, however today it was a more sharp pain around my back. I have been for a few tests with no answers. I recently had a blood test. Everything was well within acceptable ranges. This really is not in my mind. Feels like it is in my right lung but I know little about anatomy. Can you suggest some possibilities that I can ask my doctor about?

Already Tried:
stress test, misc others that I am not really sure of. Drank some stuff and got body xray??? Blood test was all within normal ranges.

You can have some sort of nerve pain that is coming from the spine.

Try a chiropractor. If after about 6 weeks of treatment, it goes away, you know you have done the right thing. Chiropractic won't make it worse.

The fact that you had all those tests done and there is no abnormality leads me to think that you have a pinched nerve. Especially the symptoms of around your love handles and back. Probably some sort of lumbar nerve.
