I was wondering if sinus congestion and sneezing in any for could be a hiv infectoin symptom I know that sinusitis is and was wondering if that is an early symptomor later I got tested for HIv and 6 week since the time it could of happened and I know thats to early I have to wait till longer but recently I have been getiing off and on snuffy nose and sneezing attacks and stuff it is now 2 month since the time when I could have benn infected

Some people do have flu like symptoms when they first contract HIV, however these are usually more along the lines of body aches, headaches and fever. Sneezing and congestion are not indicitive of HIV.

You should get another HIV test done in a few more months. Although the test you took was most likely accurate, it is recommended that a person be tested two months, six months and one year after possible infection.

Reply to HealthGuru aka Emily's Post: what about dry mouth along with these symptoms not on any medication I have had severe dry mouth and skin and thank you I will get tested again in the future
