I have gained about 20 pounds over the last 2 years. Lately, I've noticed my left leg and foot are noticeably larger and darker in color than my right. Also, when I exercise or walk at a brisk pace, my left leg aches badly. What could be the cause?

You do need to follow up with your doctor for a full blood work up. These symptoms can be due to sugar, thyroid, lack of blood circulation as well. Getting a full blood work up will give your doctor a clearer picture of what is going on.

If your sugar levels are not controlled or if your thyroid is not working properly.

Full blood work up, should also include checking hormone levels as well.

Hope this helps Hun.
