Hi

Diarrhea is a condition characterized by frequent bowel movements and feces that are soft or watery,

Most acute diarrhea in infants is due to viral gastroenteritis and is usually short-lived. Antibiotics are not routinely required for viral gastroenteritis.

Treatment is aimed at preventing dehydration.

:

1.If your baby is breast-fed, don't stop. Breast feeding helps prevent diarrhea

2.As with breast-fed babies, supplementation with an oral rehydration solution can help replenish the fluids and electrolytes that have been lost in the diarrheal stools.

So I advice you to only watch him carefully for dehydration.

Most viral diarhoea get resolved by itself within 72 hours,

Thanks
