My 15 yr old daughter has a servire nauseated stomach & vometing.

She woke up last night sick and can keep nothing down not even water.

Is she conscious and oriented ? Conscious

Is she taking enough fluids orally ? yes but keeps vomiting

Hello,

Ideally she needs to be prescribed some anti emmetic like domperidone for the symptomatic releif from vomiting .

As such antibiotics are not necessary in most of the cases .

The main complication is dehydration which needs to be checked .

Continue to give her fluids like gatorade or pedialyte

The symptoms are suggestive of stomach flu also called viral gastroenteritis .
