m_good 1980 , You should consult a gastroenterologist specialist to evaluate your symptoms . Usually the dark color of stools ,is given by a substance produced by the liver (bile). When there is an obstruction in the biliary tract system , stools will have a yellow white looking appearance.

This could be caused by :

biliary tract system obstruction

liver disease

viral hepatitis (liver inflammation)

medications

or

alcohol liver inflammation

The doctor will need to perform some test like:

liver enzymatic test

bilirrubin blood levels

cholangiopancreatography

Viral Hepatitis Antigens

With these tests , your doctor will be able to determine the cause of your symptoms , to give you the adequate treatment.
