hi could you tell me why the back of my throat is a white/ yellow colour? this has been there for 10 days now since i took 2 strong antibiotics for a bacteria stomach complaint.

the likely cause of your whitish discoloration of your throat is a yeast infection of your throat...

yeast (candidial) infections are pretty common after antibiotic use.. what happens is that when we take antibiotics it kills some of the good bateria as well... these bacteria normally prevent infections with other organisms such as yeast...

you can take nystatin which i presume is available over the counter in UK.. it will resolve in a day or two

i cant get nystanin over the counter here my gp said it was side affect of medicine.plus i have had 6 coures of antibioics in 3 months. what should i do now?
