I feel as though I have a popcorn kernal stuck in the back of my throat, and have been doing a lot of throat clearing. The feeling does go away every once in a while, but is mainly consistant. Any ideas what it could be?

Well, there is a condition called--Achlasia , when the oesophageal sphincter can not make proper relaxation. It can cause symptoms similar to what you have. Another condtion called-Esophageal stricture causes narrowing to the food track.

Throat examination and Chest x-ray, Barium X- ray and endoscopy can be considered. As such you should see Doctor, for clinical evaluation and further tests.

Regards
