Lymph nodes can become swollen in response to teething, but can also indicate an infection within the body, especially since the node-swelling seems to be more generalized (affecting both throat and groin area), rather than localized to the head and neck, which is more common with teething. If they stay enlarged for more than 2 weeks, or he begins to have other symptoms, such as a fever, sweating, cough, appetite or weight loss, further testing would be advised to make sure there isn't some other underlying problem.
