I have just opened the dryer and breathed in the hot steam by mistake. It made me jump backward out of he room. I have been drinking cold water but my throat feels sore. (my lungs/chest feel ok). Should I be doing anything else?

It happened about an hour ago . As i said I opened the dryer door to rearrange some washing and didn't think about the hot steam. I have a slight cough anyway which doesn't seem any worse. I don't think I have any shortness of breath just feel a little anxious which may be making me concentrate on my breathing more than usual.

Could you tell me what timescale we are talking about here please. If It is going to get worse would this be in the next few hours as in if i get to this evening (it is lunchtime now) is it safe to say that I'm probably ok?
