The ear, nose, and throat are all connected so this could be an inner ear infection or a sinus infection. For an inner ear infection most physicians will prescribe a round of antibiotics. If it is associated with a sinus infection then the same treatment would apply. It sounds mostly like a problem with your sinuses and if OTC medications such as Afrin do not relieve your symptoms then I suggest you have an evaluation by your physician as if you use certain OTC sinus medications or nasal sprays it can only compound the infection as it may relieve the symptoms but not take the infection away. If it is a sinus problem and not an infection then you may need a prescription type sinus medication such as Nasonex, especially since you have had these symptoms for about 2 months. My physician prescribes Nasonex for me and it works wonderfully but first you need to rule out any chances of an ear or nasal infection, then if neither of these are the cause talk to them about products such as Nasonex which can bring great relief. I hope this information will be helpful to you.
