I had strep throat about 2 months ago. I was treated with penicillin and it went away, but then a few dasy after my treatment ended, I started having a sore throat again, so I went back to my doctor and she said it was just viral. It went away a few dasy later and I felt fine for a couple weeks, but then I started noticing white patches and sometimes red on my left tonsil only, which go away, but keep coming back every couple weeks. I also have feelings of fatigue and minor body aches and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. My boyfriend says my breath has smelled really bad lately. Also, this doesn't really seem to tie in to any of the other symptoms, but I have this weird eye pain in my left eye, just feels kinda of heavy/achy and lately it has also been twitching off and on. I went to the eye doctor and he said nothing was wrong with my eyes, but he said it could be something with my sinuses. Any ideas as to what may be wrong with me?Optional Information: Female , Age: 21Already Tried: nothing

You may have tonsillitis

If it's caused by a virus, antibiotics won't work and your body will fight off the infection on its own. Sometimes one may need to have their tonsils removed, but only if their tonsils get infected a lot during the year or are so big they make it hard to breathe at night.

Reply to Lindie's Post: yea but that doesn't really explain a lot of my symptoms and I don't have a sore throat or enlarged tonsils. Just white coating on the left tonsil and it looks "congested", if you will, compared to my other tonsil....
