I've had a mild cold for over a month. I don't have a fever but I have an extreme sore throat every night. I wake up and have a hard time swallowing. I have been consistently taking Dayquil and Nyquil and it seems my cold has improved , although I still cough & have throat problems.I've never had my throat hurt like this and this long.I'm 49. What could this be?
