My girlfriend has had the flu for about four days now. She has begun to cough up a little blood mixed with the mucus?

Already Tried:
just asprin to lower fever

If it's more than a streak of blood then she needs to be evaluated. If it's just a little amount it could be a tear in the blood vessel of the throat or esophagus. Some can heal on their own. If this doesn't seem to get better in a few days or the amount increases have her been seen.
