Is it dangerous if a pill gets stuck in your throat? How do you get it to go down if water's not working?

Sometimes hot or very warm (don't burn yourself!) water will work better because pills melt faster in warm liquids. If the pill was enteric coated, you may have to wait for the coating to dissolve before the iside will melt. Good luck-let me know how you are!! It shouldn't cause a problem, although I am sure you are uncomfortable! Judy, RN
