I am getting my tonsils out. How long before should I stop smoking Marijuana?

I wish I had a more positive answer, but the truth is it takes 6-9 months for the throat irritation related to marijuana smoking to heal. You may find you heal slower post op, or have complications like pain, swelling and infection.

For anesthesia to be the safest possible procedure you should allow MJ to clear your system (approx 30 days).

This doesn't mean you can not have your surgery, but you should stop as far ahead as possible and do not return to smoking (anything) until you are completely healed!
