This could be an allergy. The first place I would start is
to get an exam of the throat to be sure there isn't something blocking
the normal pathway of mucus clearing. If all is ok there, I would
visit either a primary or an allergist or a pulmonary doc. Any of
these docs could prescribe a decongestant (you could also try this
yourself-pseudephedrine should work), a nasal spray such as a steroid
like nasocort or a mast cell stabilizer like cromolyn sodium.
These will clear up any post nasal drip that you may have that you are
not even aware of. I would start with this approach and I think
in absence of any disease processes, you will find relief! Images available only to Customers.
