I started having a sore throat with swelling, sore joints, nausea and vomiting. My child had strep throat two weeks ago, could I have it?

You can have strep throat.You need a strep throat test and to be put on antibiotic if the test comes out positive. You may possibly have had rheumatic fever in the past and you didn't know it , otherwise your joints wouldn't be sore. You can take Advil tablet for the joint pain.

Another child of mine had scarlet fever around the same time, is rheumatic fever related to scarlet fever?
