i have a 7.5 year old daughter who gets strep at least once a year. well this year she woke up easter morning sick after 24 hours of her fever not breaking at all we took her to the er at about 2 in the morning. she had strep phyrangitis and tounsilitis. every since then her tounsills will be swollen and bloodshot one day and a little bit smaller the next day and swollen all over again the day after that but has not never went back down to their normal size since she woke up easter.p.s. on the days they are really swollen when she is eating food gets caught in her throat and causes her to gag and puke the food back up.
