This can come from a possible strep infection or raw throat from too much acid intake. If you are running a fever or have any other signs of illness most likely this is virus related but if it is strep coming on then OTC products will not work, it takes antibiotics to cure the infection. If you smoke try to cut down on smoking and also use some Chloriseptic spray to help soothe your throat. Acid reflux can also cause this symptom so if you have any acid indigestion try some Tums or Rolaids as the stokach acid can cause the throat to become sore as well.

Reply to Cheryl K.'s Post: Hi,
The pain is not pain from soar throut, it's pain like I can't swallow the food or liquid, like my throut is smaller than normal (tight).
Please give me an answer.
Thanks,
mtoncic

This can be due to allergies, an allergic reaction,or possibly asthma which will cause a throat tightening. I would recommend that you try some Benadryl as this can help with a possible allergic reaction or allergies. Also if you have a humidifier this can help to open your airways better so your throat does not seem so tight. I would highly recommend that you be seen to see if this could be related to asthma as this can come on at anytime or age and this sounds allergy or asthma related.
