I've had an itchy, red, small blistery skin

I've had an itchy, red, small blistery skin condition the last few days. I thought it was an allergic reaction to eating a piece of unwashed fruit since it started w my lips ( i had that last year and it lasted briefly) but this is spreading. It's very irritating and has moved to my eyelids, my thighs, my ankle, my testicals, and some of my fingertips. I've taken Benadryl, but that just seems to put me to sleep. It sort of looks like hives or poison ivy. Thanks.

It sounds like an systemic allergic reaction due to the fact it has spread to different areas of the body. Not just any area of the body, sensitive areas with a thinner dermis. The doctor can give you some steriods to help with the reaction that you take by mouth as well as some topical ointment to help with pain and itching. Don't be suprised if it gets worse and spreads to the armpits, the inner crease of your elbows. Since you have had this before, the second time you come in contact with the substance (possible insecticide) the second reaction is worse. It would be benefical to get an allergen test to see what it is you are allergic to so, you can avoid this in the future. Allergic reactions can escalate to anaphylaxic shock, where your throat swells up to the point that you no longer have a patent airway. If you are or become this seriously allergic to this, it will be imparative that you carry an EPI pen. Hope this helps you and if you have any other questions or anything to add please let me know!
