nausea feeling
Sent to Health Experts August 23 05:36 PM

For two days now I have this nausea feeling and a light bitter tase in my mouth. My bloodsugar is o.k. and I am not pregnant. Is it something with my stomach, my bloodpressure or my heart?

Good evening,

The nausea that you are experiencing and the bitter taste in your mouth may be due to gastric reflux.

I assume you are diabetic and some of the diabetic medications may cause gastric irritation causing the stomach acid to back up into your throat and mouth.

Gastric reflux can also be caused in general by stomach irritation due to increased stresses in your life and/or the food that you eat. I dont' believe that your blood pressure or your heart has anything to do with the current symptoms.

If I can help further, please let me know.

Reply to Pamela's Post: Hi Pamela,

Thank you for your reply. I am not a diabetic. My bloodpressure measures between 85 and 100. Fot the past year I have made (more) adaptations to my diet and sugar and fat is (almost) not part of my diet. Do you think it may be something else?

Reply to Pamela's Post: Hi Pamela,
Thank you for your mail. I never had problems or symptoms that indicate something about my gallbladder. In the past I had problem with gastric reflux and got treatment for it. Long time I have no symptoms in this direction. The nausea symptoms are regular, wheather I eat or not. I go to bed with this nauseous feeling and wake up with it. During the day when it is a bit heavy it urges me to lie down for a while or at least stop doing what I am doing at that moment. My friend says that the bitter taste and nausea symptoms might be a problem with my "equilibrium disturbance". Can this be the possible problem?

Hello again,

Certainly nausea can be caused by an equilibrium problem, but taste is not affected.

I am going to send you a website that goes thru some of the symptoms for gallbladder disease. See if you don't think that your symptoms may align themselves with that of gallbladder disease.

The gallbladder can certainly be the source of both of your complaints. It may be worth further investigation by your physician.

Reply to Pamela's Post: Hi Pamela,
Thank you for your mail. I visited the site of gallbladder attack. Fortunately I only have two symptoms from the whole list. (nausea and bitter taste) One thing caught my attention and that is that low and non-fat diets are also symptoms of bladder problems. Do you think it's better to make a complete check up of my bloodsugar, bloodpressure and gallbladder?
