I am a 50 year old female. 3 days ago I began getting a large swollen area, golf ball size, on the right side of my throat when I eat. This occurs immediately when I begin to eat and subsides almost immediately, within minutes, when I quit eating. There is very little pain associated with this and the swelling appears to be external as it does not affect my airway. Could this be thyroid or lymph node associated?
