Can pot give you epiglicotis

I aquired Epiglicotis and I am still not sure how I went to a party and smoked some pot which I havent done in a very long time but the next day i woke up with a sore throat I went to my doctor and he diagnosed me with epiglicotis. After a couple of months of being better I had a party at my house and I happned to have the the stuff from the previous party and we smoked it and right away my throat felt like it was closing again. So I am wondering if certain kinds of pot can give you epiglicotis
