i have a severe sore throat and i have been on augmentin ex for three days, it seems the throat is more sore now then it was   any ideas

Hello,

You are advised steam inhalation & saline gargles

you need anti allergic treatment either OTC cough syrup or anti allergic tablet like cetrizine SOS

These two steps will definitely cure you

continue augmentin for another three days

Hello,

you have to continue on tylenol & augmentin, Wait for another day & if don't improve then change antibiotic & switch over to ciprofloxacin 500mg 1bd for 5 days.

Meanwhile you can go for blood work up & urine examination.
