I RECENTLY HAD A SORE THROAT AND FEVER MY DR ORDERED A CBC BECAUSE WE WERE ALSO TRYING TO HAVE A BABY. I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT MY WHITE BLOOD COUNT WAS 14.5 (5-10) IS NORMAL ALL THE OTHER TESTS WERE FINE. NOW I HAVE BEEN READING THAT THIS COULD ALSO BE CAUSED BY LEUKEMIA I AM KIND OF FREAKED OUT. DO YOU THINK IT WAS JUST THE FEVER AND SORE THROAT THAT CAUSED THE ELEVATED COUNT OR SHOULD I BE CONCERNED AND IS THIS CONSIDERED JUST A SLIGHT ELEVATION OR A HIGH ELEVATED BLOOD COUNT?
