I see my ENT about twice a year for this same thing. l have been taking theraflu, tylenol, cough drops. I did not mention before but the sore throat is giving me an ear ache.

It is likely that the discharge from your eye is related to your sinus condition. Congestion in the sinus cavities often causes pain or pressure in the ear, inflammation in the throat, and discharge from the eyes. Sinus pain and congection can also cause toothache and swelling in the glands in your neck. It is time, though to see your doctor for assessment to evaluate the need for an antibiotic if a bacterial infection is involved. Otherwise, continue treating the symptoms, run a cool mist vaporizer at night, and drink plenty of water (8-10 glasses daily). Try adding Mucinex as well which will help thin the mucous and allow it to drain easily and cause less irritation.
