I have a high resting pulse 103 (waking up in the morning). After getting up for about 10 minutes my pulse is anywhere from 80 - 95 somtimes in the seventies. When I sit down to read and rest during the day my pulse goes back to 103 and above. Over the last 2 years I feel alot colder, I am always having to cover myself with blankets alot to keep warm. My feet are the worst. I am experiencing fatigue. My nails peeling and always breaking. I used to have great nails. I also have depression. All of my cholesterol, tryglycerides are great. My blood sugar is normal sometimes borderline. My thyroid levels are coming out normal. I am mildly overweight. I am exercising and watching my diet.

Optional Information:
Female, Age: 36, Wisconsin

Reply to Lani, BSN,RN's Post: I am taking an albuterol inhaler only when I work out. I usually only take the inhaler for the first 3 weeks of the exercise program I sign up for at the YMCA. I do not have asthma. However my Dr. felt I was not getting enough oxygen during workouts because my heart rate was high during exercise. I do have Flunisolide and clear atidine for allergies. I do not take them regularly.

Hello Groddick1,

You need few investigations to figure out what is causing your symptoms. I would advise monitoring your blood pressure, you are possibly having episodic hypotension (low blood pressures) for some causes that need to be diagnosed. Your symptoms could possibly be due to thyroid problems too. For now, we will wait for the results of your thyroid functions (T3, T4, and TSH). I also advise doing Chest X-ray and ECG. Please follow up with your doctor, increasing pulse rate is not to be ignored.

Take care!
