My Thyroid numbers are:TSH .87T4 1.1T3 2.4I ...

My Thyroid numbers are:

TSH .87
T4 1.1
T3 2.4

I have gained 30 pounds and my weight has set at 158 for one year despite exercise, good food etc. I feel my synthyroid pill keeps me at a SET POINT.

Is my T4 and T3 NORMAL?

Already Tried:
Synthyroid I'm also diabetic for 30 years with pump. My diabetic doctor says my numbers are normal and the thyroid is not causing the weight set point.

T4 is normal .

T3 is elevated.

You do not need to manage T3.

T3 is measured as part of a thyroid function evaluation. Most of the thyroid hormone made in the thyroid is in the form of T4. The body's cells convert the T4 to T3, which is the more active hormone. Sometimes it can be useful to measure both T4 and T3 when looking at thyroid function. For example, in some cases of hyperthyroidism, T4 may be normal but T3 will be elevated.

Probably not. As you see above T3 does not involve in decision making . Almost all the treatment' s are based on T4 and TSH levels.
