My doctor had told me that my thyroid feels enlarged, and has ordered labs for me, an ultrasound, and is sending me to an endrocronolisist. I'm only 30 years old, what could be going on?

Is the enlargement diffuse, or are there specific areas?

Is there any pain?

Any other associated symptoms?
