My mom has had incredible weakness, shortness of breath, fatigue, pain in her lower back and legs. She is only 63 years old. We thought she had Addison's disease but bloodtest did not confirm that. She has been on prednazone for 3 1/2 days and has noticed significant improvement, however, because the blood results did find the Addisons, the doctor is going to wein her from the steroids. She did have a low sodium and potassium reading. She has also had all the major tests for heart issues with nothing found. She is terrified to go back to the way she felt a few days ago. She could only walk a bit without having to sit down, she is unsteady and triping and her cognitive ability seems slightly slowed. She was told she has not had a stroke. What are we missing?
