can i take levothyroxine with oestrogel (HRT)

i am taking oestrogel as HRT as i had a hysterectomy and both ovaries removed in may 2006. i have just been prescribed levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid and have read that it should not be taken with oestrogen products. is it safe to take it with my oestrogel

Reply to Dr Anil Munjal's Post: I take one metered dose of oestrogel in the evening ie 9pm and 5omcg of levothyroxine in the morning before breakfast ie 8am. the dose of levothyroxine is due to increase to 100mcg in 14 days time

Hello,

In my opinion levothyroxine & oestrogel are not safe if taken together but it is totally safe if the two drugs are taken at an interval of 8-12 hours.
