My 13 year old son has been gaining alot of weight. He is very active and eats healthy. He complains all the time of feeling very hot and has to have the air conditioning on at night as low as 65 to feel comfortable. He plays basketball, baseball and football and plays outside after school every day. He is getting very large in the abdomen.

I would highly suggest you have him get a full blood work up. This could be due to thyroid and even with him going into puberty and hormones are changing etc. But without some blood work, it's all just a guess. But with his activity level and the fact that he feels hot, by doing the blood work, this will give his doctor a clear picture of what is going on.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and please take a moment to leave me *POSITIVE* feedback.
