i have a weight problem, i am underweight significantly. i dont drink or use drugs. and i drink ensure shakes and eat regularly. i am 29 years old and now i have the flu and have lost an enormous amount of weight. what can i do? i look and feel horrible and very unhealthy. i used to be 130 lbs and i am now 103 lbs. please help.

ever since i had my second child 5 years ago i have been struggling with my weight. i have had nausea, vomiting, chills, aches, no appetite and weakness and dizziness.

There can be several causes of weight loss including thyroid imbalance, improper diet, lack of appetite, anemia, liver disorders etc. Since you had this problem for a long time, I would recommend that you see your doctor for some blood tests including CBC, thyroid profile, BMP, liver and kidney function tests. If a cause is found, appropriate treatment can be started. Also I would recommend daily multivitamins and iron supplements.
