I have been diognosed with breast cancer. The tumor that was removed was non-invasive and contained in the milk duct. But the margins were positive for more cancer. How dangerous is it for me to wait three more weeks to see the plastic surgeon and then maybe two or three more weeks for the surgery? Should I get another opinion?

do you have any glands in axilla or anywhere else in the body?

what is your age?

Reply to Dr Anil Munjal's Post: I'm 61 years old. I have not had any glands checked. They will be checked before my surgery. The tumor was about the size of a peanut(in the shell).

Do you have any swelling (swollen lymph nodes )in axilla on self examination?

When were you diagnosed with breast cancer?

When did you first noticed breast swelling?(please mention the time gap between the swelling & surgery)
