Welcome to JA. I am certain I can help relieve your confusion.
A papilloma is a growth that is not cancerous and does not spread, (also called benign).
A breast papilloma describes this growth when it appears in breast tissue.
Intraductal papilloma refers to this tissue growth in the milk duct of the breast.
A small , wart like lump beneath the nipple may be palpable, but usually these are discovered only when investigating nipple discharge.
The usual treatment, when the growth is symptomatic, is to remove it, and a small portion of the milk duct affected.
Prognosis is excellent, and this does not foretell of future breast cancer.
May I provide any information more specific to your concerns?
