My six-year old son has what my husband refer to as "bumpy bumps" in different areas of his body. They itch only after being in the sun. They look like little whilte blisters or zits and if itched too much they open and bleed. The doctor who has seen whom told us to try some lesser form of the wart lotion than us adults use because that one is too strong. The doctor told us that these are some kind of a wart and our son couldn't do anything to get rid of them and they just have to work their way out just like a virus. Doctor also said it could take up to a year and that they are contagious.

My son is getting more and more of them and itchier as time goes on. The doctor mentioned using 1% HydroCortisone for the itch. My pharmacist told me to try Aveeno and to also get a second opinion because he didn't recommend HydroCortisone.

Any advice? My son is accumulating these bumps starting on his left side and now it's on a part of his arms and back and tummy. Help. Is there anything else we can do for our poor little man?
