My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 9 months, recent college grads, and looking for a bright future together. Prior to our relationship she had been diagnosed with chlymadia and treated. Her annual pap smear was in June and came back with irregular results, so the Dr. brought her in 3 months later and tested her again, same results, informs her she has HPV. My question is how will this virus affect us? (both healthy and bump free) With no way to test for HPV in males is it likable that the disease was contracted along with the chlymadia and overseen. The chlymadia was diagnosed and cured 2 years ago with one clean pap smear a year later.

Tough to say whether HPV was contracted 2 years ago, since the diagnosis of HPV is difficult. It is possible for a female to have HPV and be asymptomatic or have any only minimal skin changes.
As far as you are concerned, Males can get HPV, but it often is not associated with any health risks. Genital warts can occur in men, but it is less common than women. When HPV causes warts in men, the warts usually occur around the anus, scrotum, or on and under the foreskin of the penis.
Most of the times HPV is a benign self limited disease that the body gets rid of within a couple of years, so other than a follow-up for your girlfreind, I really do not think anything else is needed.
