during the delivery of my 5th child I was given antibiotics ...

during the delivery of my 5th child I was given antibiotics and was told it was for my group b step, How did I get this only for my 5th child? I had my 4th child only 18 months before and it was neg.for this group b strep. I was given a total of 4 bags antibiotics, does this get rid of it? What causes it?
